
Biography
Raised in Amarillo, Texas, Mary Margarett Bausman, a visual artist received her Associates degree in studio art from Amarillo College in 1999 and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas with an emphasis in Painting and a minor in Art History in 2002. A graduate from Texas Tech University, College of Visual and Performing Arts, School of Art, Mrs. Bausman received a Master of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Painting and a secondary in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing with a minor in Art History in 2005. Her current work focuses on the fusion of spirit and science using biology as a metaphor. Mrs. Bausman has been in numerous local, national and international juried exhibitions and will be included in an upcoming exhibition at the Five Civilized Tribes Museum in Muskogee, Oklahoma during the month of June 2009. Mrs. Bausman is a current member of the Laredo Art League and teaches Beginning and Life Drawing, Art Appreciation and Art History 2 in the Art Department at Laredo Community College, Laredo, Texas.
